The Columbia Valley Botanical Gardens Trail

Since its inception, the town of Invermere has been a focal area for CRGA’s work. Columbia Valley Botanical Gardens trail adds much needed trail facilities to the vicinity of the popular Kinsmen Beach. This trail passes by Dorothy Lake, an important site for Western Painted Turtles, a provincial species-at-risk. It also explores the community heritage garden managed by the Columbia Valley Botanical Gardens & Centre for Sustainable Living. The Columbia Valley Botanical Gardens trail was created with assistance from the District of Invermere, local businesses and community volunteers.
