Challenge kicks off BC TRAILS DAY – June 5, 2021 until July 3, 2021

Welcome to the Greenways Summer Trail Challenge!

Like the Toby Creek Nordic Club’s recent Whiteway Winter Challenge, this will be a month-long challenge. Participants will register individually or as a team and will challenge themselves to set a distance goal for them or their team to cycle, walk, run, or otherwise self-propel themselves along the Markin-MacPhail Westside Legacy Trail. Individuals or one Team Representative will be required to submit weekly distances via email to trailchallenge@greenways.ca and we will tabulate these to provide community benchmarks and goals such as collectively going from coast to coast across Canada!

Grand prizes will be awarded to the top two individuals and top two teams with the farthest distance traveled throughout the month.

All proceeds will go toward purchasing two Alaska Ice Dragons, portable, propane-fired ice resurfacers to be used for the Whiteway.
